How can I help?

  • To volunteer with CCIVA and Cross Cancer Institute, please apply online through the online portal. All volunteers are recruited and processed through the CCI Volunteer Resources Department not CCIVA.

    Applications will be reviewed within 2-4 weeks. Please keep an eye on your email.

  • Yes, we will take lightly used books and puzzles. We do not accept:

    • Reference material, textbooks, readers digest, and magazines.

    Donations can be dropped off in the CCI Main Lobby in the Book Donations bins pictured below.

  • Donations can be made through our partner, Alberta Cancer Foundation, through this online portal.

    Donors can also visit the Volunteer Resources office for more information.

  • Please drop off any new or gently used wigs with Volunteer Resources. The team will assess if they are usable for our program area.

    We do not accept hair pieces, extensions, or toppers at this time.

  • Unfortunately, we do not have the means to create wigs from real-hair donations.

    We recommend looking into the organizations:

  • At this time, we NOT do accept these products. They can be put to great use at other locations such as the Grey Nuns Community Hospital or Royal Alexandra Hospital.
